For security reasons, there are restrictions on how you can spend NX. Each game has its own specific set of restrictions. Below are the restrictions for MapleStory.
Important: Terms of Sale apply to all NX purchases. NX and/or trade restrictions are subject to change at any time. To check for the latest updates, see the MapleStory News page. |
Temporary Trade Restrictions
There are two events that trigger a temporary trade restriction in MapleStory:
- New account creation
- An account's first NX purchase PLUS the purchase of a trade-restricted item within 4 days
These trade restrictions are removed automatically once enough time has elapsed from either the time of account creation or the time of your first NX purchase.
Important: Player Support cannot manually reset, remove, or in any way change trade restrictions or their timeframes. |
New Accounts
When you create a new account, a 7-day restriction timer is placed on it, which prevents you from trading items with other players. However, the account is not restricted from dropping certain quest items or selling items to non-player characters (NPCs).
First NX Purchase
When you buy NX for the first time, a 4-day timer is applied the account.
If you purchase an item with special restrictions anytime during this 4-day period, a temporary trade restriction is immediately placed on your account for the remainder of the period. While this restriction in effect, you cannot trade or drop items from characters on the account, and you cannot gift items to another account through the Cash Shop.
Example:
If you buy NX for the first time on Monday and purchase an item with special restrictions from the Cash Shop on Tuesday, then a temporary trade restriction is placed on your account until Friday, a full 4-days after you originally purchased the NX.
