Latest changes
As of September 1, 2021, we have updated our checkout system to streamline the purchase flow for our players and to better align with our payment gateway partners. While this update has adjusted the amount of NX received for some currencies across the regions serviced by Nexon America, including Nexon Game Card/Karma Koin redemptions, it should be transparent to most of our players.
Changes specific to Nexon Game Card redemption
When purchasing NX using Nexon Game Cards, the redemption process calculates the amount of NX the player receives, including tax requirements (if any), based on their country/billing location instead of the card’s currency type.
This means that before NX is rewarded, players redeeming AUD, CAD, or NZD Nexon Game Cards, have their Nexon Game Card funds converted to either USD or EUR using a standard exchange rate.

Why are NX price points adjusted?
As currency values across the globe constantly fluctuate, we adjust NX price points, only when needed, to equalize the purchasing power of different currencies and avoid large regional disparities. This is called purchasing power parity (PPP) and it helps promote a fair NX value to players across all of our service regions, regardless of the currency type used.
What are the supported currencies?
For Nexon’s WEST/Global region, the supported currencies are:
- United States Dollar (USD)
- Euro (EUR)
- British Pound Sterling (GBP)
- Russian Ruble (RUB)
All other currencies are exchanged for a supported currency closest to the player’s country/billing location registered to their Nexon account.
Why is the amount of NX I get different from the current market exchange rate?
Currencies are traded around the clock, 24 hours per day, so their value is constantly changing.
To keep NX values updated and avoid confusion that constantly shifting values would cause, we maintain our NX conversion rates in accordance with local tax laws and regulations using a monthly currency exchange rate.
Do the latest changes impact my existing NX balance or purchased content?
No. There is no impact to NX or in-game items that were purchased before the latest change.
However, unredeemed Nexon Game Cards may be affected when the balance is redeemed, depending on the card’s currency type and the player’s registered country/billing location.
