The Domain Name System or DNS cache contains information needed to convert a domain name into its IP address. This data is used when connecting to a server. If you experience connectivity problems such as lag or disconnections, clearing out this cache (called flushing) and renewing IP addresses can help improve your connection.
Flush DNS and Renew IP Addresses
- Close any Nexon games that are currently open.
- Press the Window key to open Start menu search bar.
- In the search bar, navigate to the Command Window by typing: cmd
- Under the Command Prompt app, click on Run as administrator to open the Command Prompt with administrator permissions.
- In the Command Prompt window, type the following text: ipconfig /release
- Press Enter key to run the command.
- After a moment, the results will be displayed.
- Repeat the process with text: ipconfig /flushdns
- When complete, click on the X icon in the top-right corner to close the Command Prompt window.
- Launch the game again to connect with your refreshed connection.
