Some users may encounter issues where macOS shortcuts overlap with MapleStory hotkeys. This can be resolved by adjusting shortcut settings on your computer.

Note: Applies to macOS Tahoe 26.2 or later.

 

Recommended Solutions

Turn off shortcuts that display all open windows, desktop spaces, and full-screen apps on the Mac screen.

  1. Navigate to System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Mission Control > Mission Control
  2. Turn off the Ctrl + Up Arrow and Ctrl + Down Arrow keys

Turn off the shortcut that minimizes all open windows and shows the desktop.

  1. Navigate to System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Mission Control
  2. Uncheck Show Desktop (F11)

Turn off the shortcut that minimizes the currently active window to the Dock.

  1. Navigate to System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Windows > General
  2. Uncheck Minimize (cmd + M)

Turn off the shortcut that searches everything on your Mac, such as files, apps, emails and web searches.

  1. Navigate to System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Spotlight
  2. Uncheck Show Spotlight Search (cmd + Space)

Turn off the shortcut that toggles the Internal Mac screen reader feature that reads what's on the screen.

  1. Navigate to System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Accessibility
  2. Uncheck Turn VoiceOver on or off (cmd + F5)

Turn off the special features (displayed as icons) such as brightness and volume that are used with the F1, F2, etc. keys at the top of the Mac keyboard.

  1. Navigate to System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Function Keys
  2. Turn off the ability to use F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys

Turn off Siri's voice command feature.

  1. Navigate to System Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri > Siri Requests
  2. Turn off Siri

  3. Navigate to System Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri > Keyboard shortcut
  4. Change to a different input

Important: The MapleStory client must be restarted upon changing settings.
